Series background & context

Reindeer Valley is MINK's small holiday romance series, made up of Christmas Crush and Christmas Grump. Both books use the season as more than decoration. Snow, Christmas expectations, close quarters, and a town built for festive cheer all make it harder for the characters to avoid what they feel.

The series has a warm, quick-moving style. These are contemporary romances with the emotional speed and protective heroes readers expect from MINK, but the winter setting gives the stories a softer, more playful edge. There is still plenty of tension, especially when someone has been hurt before or is determined not to need anybody.

In Christmas Crush, a woman named Ruby finds herself facing a second chance with a man who has not stopped wanting a life with her. Their history means the reunion comes with old feelings and unfinished business, not just holiday lights and convenient mistletoe.

Reindeer Valley gives the characters little room to hide.

Christmas Grump follows with another Christmas-season romance, turning a difficult, guarded hero into part of the fun. The title signals the mood well. The charm comes from watching someone who would rather avoid seasonal cheer get pulled into connection anyway.

The books are linked by their setting and holiday atmosphere, rather than by one ongoing mystery or a single central couple. That makes each entry easy to enjoy on its own. Still, starting with Christmas Crush lets readers settle into the world before moving on to the second story.

Expect cozy surroundings, strong attraction, and compact stories that treat Christmas as a chance to reset. Reindeer Valley is a good fit for readers who want a little snow around their romance, with emotional stakes that stay personal and a happy ending waiting on the other side of the holiday rush.
