There are rumors about an asylum in the building's past, staff members with questionable motives, hidden areas, and secrets that seem to multiply the longer the family stays. Because there are so many children involved, the stakes feel immediate all the time. A threat against one adult is bad enough. A threat against the kids changes everything.
