Series background & context
Power is an early Jagger Cole series about men who rule, men who fight, and women who knock that control sideways. The books are connected by theme more than by one continuous couple arc.
Tyrant opens with Enzo, a guerrilla fighter turned king, trying to control both his country’s image and his own reaction to reporter Claire Shaw. Outlaw moves to London, where Alfie Kane sees Viviana Amantea as a threat to his empire. Warlord heads into a jungle war zone, where a captive duchess becomes part of a dangerous fake-marriage play.
The title is not subtle, and neither is the series.
These are possessive, fast-moving romances where political power, criminal power, or battlefield power collides with attraction. Each book gives a new couple its own story, so readers can sample by premise, but reading in order shows how Cole was building the bigger style that would later define his darker mafia books.
