Series background & context

Otherworld is one of Stacey Kennedy's broadest paranormal worlds. It brings together witches, werewolves, vampires, warlocks, guardians, and all kinds of supernatural conflict, then layers romance through the middle of the chaos. If you like the idea of a shared fantasy universe with different couples and different pockets of danger, this series has plenty to explore.

The books vary in focus, but they tend to share a few core traits. The heroines are often gifted, burdened, or both. The heroes are powerful in the ways you expect from paranormal romance, but Kennedy usually gives them emotional investment too, not just strength. The result is a series that can shift from pack politics to magic battles to vampire threats without losing the basic romantic shape of the stories.

It is a busy world, in a good way.

There is always something supernatural going wrong, and someone attractive nearby when it does.

The tone is witty, fast, and action-friendly, which helps keep the universe from feeling too heavy even when the stakes climb. If you want Stacey Kennedy's paranormal side at full scale, with multiple kinds of creatures and an ongoing sense that danger could come from anywhere, Otherworld is the place to go. It is also a good reminder that long before her cowboy and club romances took off, she was already building worlds full of magic and trouble.
