Series background & context

Once Upon a Bridesmaid is a multi-author romance collection tied together by friendship, weddings, and the idea that being in someone else's love story can push you toward your own.

Sherelle Green opens the set with Yours Forever. The book follows Mackenzie, often called Mac, a woman who is far more comfortable with casual flings than serious commitment. Weddings are supposed to be about other people. Mac has other plans.

Then love gets inconvenient.

The series works because bridesmaid stories are naturally crowded. There are best friends, old promises, family expectations, dresses, parties, and public moments that make private feelings harder to hide. Green uses that frame to put pressure on a heroine who would rather stay in control of her options.

The larger collection continues with other authors, but Green's entry gives readers a strong first step into the world. Expect friendship-first romance, playful heat, and the question hiding under every wedding event: what happens when forever stops being a joke?
