The Old Timey Holiday Kitchen series is exactly the sort of theme Zina Abbott handles well. These books are historical romances built around holiday food, domestic work, and the emotional meaning attached to recipes people carry into new homes and new relationships.

Food is not decoration here.

A dessert or Christmas dinner often becomes the thing that starts a conversation, revives a memory, or exposes a private longing.
