Not Yours Books in Order

Not Yours is Sara Ney's dating-app football series, and it leans hard into that very modern kind of romantic confusion where people can be instantly connected and still completely misunderstand each other.

The first book, Not Your Biggest Fan, introduces Harlow James, creator of the Kissmet dating app, and Landon Andy Burke, a high-profile football free agent she meets without realizing who he is. That setup tells you a lot about the series. Fame matters, but what matters more is how strange ordinary connection can feel when one person is used to being recognized and the other is not playing by that script. Biggest Player follows with Dex and Margot, another Kissmet match, this time between a pro quarterback and a single mom who is pretty sure she is being catfished.

The shared world here is smaller than in some of Ney's campus series, but it is clear and effective. Kissmet ties the books together. So does the contrast between public image and private self. These men are athletes with status and visibility. The women are busy, sharp, and not especially interested in being impressed just because somebody is famous.

That friction gives the series its bite.

If you like romance built around texting, swiping, mistaken assumptions, and the awkward moment when online chemistry has to survive real life, Not Yours has a nice groove. It also shows Sara Ney in a slightly older, more adult mode, with careers, co-parenting, travel, and the practical complications that come once campus life is long gone.
