Nicholas Books in Order

Nicholas recounts a year of primary school through the eyes of a little French boy. His classmates turn ordinary lessons, playground games, and everyday encounters into escapades that leave the adults struggling to maintain order.

Summer takes Nicholas away from school and into fresh adventures at the seaside and holiday camp. Fishing expeditions, nighttime treasure hunts, and a new circle of friends create plenty of opportunities for well intentioned trouble.

Nicholas and his friends find trouble in sixteen stories about life beyond the classroom. A visit to a new bookshop, a radio interview, and an unexpectedly messy chess game test their intentions and the patience of adults.

School photographs and games of cowboys and Indians become anything but orderly when Nicholas and his friends are involved. This illustrated collection follows the boys through everyday situations that their enthusiasm repeatedly turns into trouble.
