Knotted Myths

by Lexi C Foss

2026

The Netherworld Fae story pushes toward its most dangerous truths as myth, memory, and mate bonds tighten around Sera. What was hidden in the beginning can no longer stay buried.

Series background & context

Netherworld Fae takes a Hades and Persephone style setup and pushes it through Lexi C Foss's darker paranormal lens. The result is a myth-flavored fae romance with underworld stakes, an omega heroine, and a cast of powerful males tied to death, dreams, and the secrets buried in her past.

The heroine begins as Serapina, a human who learns very quickly that human is not the whole story. Once the underworld claims her, the series opens into a bigger mythos of hidden memory, dangerous transformation, and the kind of destiny that makes everyone around her suddenly interested in what she can become. Hades is part of the draw, but he is not the only one. Other male figures tied to the underworld become central as the series leans into its reverse harem structure.

What gives these books their shape is the combination of myth and urgency. Sera is not just falling into an underworld romance. She is being hunted, pulled toward her first heat, and forced to confront truths hidden deep inside her own soul.

If you want Foss in a more overtly mythic mode, this is a strong pick. Expect dark fae energy, death-god atmosphere, heavy fate themes, and a heroine whose personal awakening is tied directly to the balance of the world around her.
