Lockets & Lace Books in Order

Lockets & Lace is a good fit for readers who want their historical romance with a little mystery stitched into it. The series tends to build each story around an object, a piece of history, or a personal secret that refuses to stay buried. The romances matter, but so does the puzzle.

That structure gives the books a slightly different feel from a straight small-town or ranch romance. Characters are often chasing answers as much as they are chasing each other. The historical setting helps. Travel is slow, information is patchy, and the truth can stay hidden longer than anyone would like. That allows the suspense to breathe. The tone is still warm and accessible, not heavy for the sake of being heavy. But the series likes layering. A widow's grief may turn into a spy story. A bit of jewelry may hide a key. A polite conversation may be carrying a dozen unanswered questions underneath it.
