Series background & context

Leprechaun's Gold is a paranormal romance spin-off from Sara Humphreys's Princes of Hell world. It turns toward the Leprechaun Fae, a people born from witch and fae blood who are treated as outsiders by both sides of their family tree.

That outsider status shapes the series. The Leprechaun Fae live quietly in a remote village within the Fae realm, separated from the pureblooded fae who set many of the rules. Some accept the limits placed on them. Others want a life beyond the village, even if taking that step means facing old prejudice, family expectations, and dangerous magic.

The series begins with Luck of the Irish. Declan Aherne has been trapped in a magical mirror for centuries after the death of his witch wife and the anger of her powerful father. He has had little company besides grief and the chance to think about revenge. Then a human woman with a familiar amulet appears, and the prison that has defined his life may no longer be permanent.

His luck may finally be changing.

Declan's story brings together the main pieces of the series: enchanted objects, old bargains, divided magical communities, and romance complicated by the past. The gold in the title is not just decoration. Leprechaun lore, family inheritance, and magical power all matter to the danger surrounding the characters.

Although it shares a world with the demon-centered Princes of Hell books, Leprechaun's Gold has its own entry point and its own concerns. Readers do not need deep knowledge of the earlier series to understand Declan's situation. The story explains the mirror, the amulet, and the social position of the Leprechaun Fae as it goes.

The tone is romantic fantasy with a compact novella pace. Expect a cursed hero, a heroine drawn into a supernatural history she does not fully understand, and a threat that comes from old wounds as much as direct violence. It is less about sprawling court politics than about what happens when someone pushed to the edge of a magical society gets the chance to claim a future.

Start with Luck of the Irish. It introduces Declan, the Leprechaun Fae, and the magical conflict that gives the series its foundation.
