Series background & context

The Kisses series sits in a glossy contemporary world of resorts, security teams, rich employers, and women trying to rebuild after family drama. These are quick romances, but they have a polished setting that gives them a distinct flavor. Hotels, beach properties, private protection, and people with expensive jobs are everywhere in the background, even when the emotional issues are very personal.

The through line is simple. Women under stress meet men who are very ready to make their lives smaller, safer, and much less lonely.

Smooth Kisses follows Serena Smooth, the ultra-capable head of customer relations at a luxury resort, whose orderly professional life gets shaken up when the new owner, Andrew Lennox, arrives and decides she is the real asset he wants. Sweet Kisses moves to Violet Collins and Victor Sokolov, with family exile and guarded emotions pushed up against Victor's determination. Saved Kisses finishes with Amie Collins, who is trying to recover after a brutal family betrayal, and Greyson, a security expert who does not expect to care quite so much.

That means the series works on two levels. On one level, it is all glances, private spaces, powerful heroes, and fast attraction. On another, it is about women stepping out of bad family dynamics and into relationships that feel chosen rather than imposed.

There is also a satisfying sense of overlap between the books. The Collins family, the Sokolov security world, and the resort setting help the stories feel connected without turning them into homework.

If you like fast luxury romance with bodyguards, bosses, and heroines who are tired of being let down, Kisses is a smooth place to start.
