This series takes vampire-hunting lore and runs it through biker-club energy. Starting with Van Helsing Rising, the setup leans into legacy, dangerous bloodlines, and the idea that hunting monsters is a full-time life, not a side quest.
That gives the books a rougher, faster feel than some of Helen Scott's more fantasy-heavy series.
The motorcycle club element matters because it shapes the whole emotional tone. These stories are built around found family, loyalty, protection, and people who live close to violence. When romance enters that kind of world, it comes with plenty of friction. Trust has to be earned, and anyone who gets close to the hunters also gets close to their enemies.
