Ice Mountain is Kelly Long's most rugged Amish setting. The series takes place in a remote Appalachian community in Pennsylvania, where mountain roads, cabins, creek water, and hard winters matter as much as the romances. An Amish Match on Ice Mountain brings in Stephen Lambert, a firefighter returning home with a pregnant Englischer woman he has rescued. An Amish Wedding Feast on Ice Mountain shifts toward Beth Mast and Ransom King, two shy, burdened people meeting at a wedding.

What ties the series together is the way Long uses the mountain setting to raise the stakes. Characters are often cut off, watched closely, or pulled between the safety of the community and the wider world beyond it. Shame, false accusation, old trauma, family control, and questions of belonging keep surfacing. So do quieter things, shared work, humor, food, animals, and the relief of being known by people who have seen your worst days and stayed.

The tone is tender but more emotionally intense than a very cozy Amish romance.
