Heights Stories Books in Order

Heights Stories is exactly what the name suggests, shorter visits back into Mahogany Heights. These books and novellas work like companion pieces to the larger Heights world, often giving side characters, returning favorites, or especially memorable pairings a little more room on the page.

Me + Somebody's Son and It's The Chase For Me are part of that appeal. They feel like dropping back into a neighborhood you already know, where the food is familiar, the group chat is probably active, and love keeps happening in the middle of everyday life. Even when the stories are brief, the setting does not feel thin.

This is comfort-reading territory.

The Heights world is one of Jones's warmest creations, and these stories lean into that warmth. There is still chemistry and tension, of course, but the pace is often a little more relaxed, more interested in community texture and character vibes than in building some huge external conflict.

If you are new, they can still work, but they usually land best after you have spent time in Equilibrium, Serendipitous Love, New Heights, or Roses and Thorns.
