Attracting Aubrey

Aubrey runs a fan account for superhero actor Carter Hayes, so meeting him incognito on a cruise is bad enough. Accidentally helping expose his cover means the two have to work together while attraction gets harder to ignore.

Series background & context

Gone Wild is a shared-world vacation romance setup, and Avery Flynn's corner of it leans into exactly the kind of chaos she does well. The big appeal is easy to spot: people leave regular life behind, end up in close quarters, and make choices they probably would not make at home.

On Flynn's page of that world, Attracting Aubrey delivers a fun celebrity twist. Aubrey is not chasing adventure. She is just trying to get through a cruise when she runs headfirst into her superhero-celebrity crush, Carter Hayes, who is hiding in plain sight. One accidental leak later, the whole trip gets a lot more complicated.

Because this is a shared series, you do not need a huge amount of setup. The story works as a clean standalone. What matters is the vacation bubble, the secrecy, and the tension between what the characters say out loud and what they are clearly starting to want.

It is light, quick, and built for readers who like fake cover stories, celebrity complications, and the specific weirdness of falling for somebody while the hallway outside your cabin is full of other people's drama. If you want Flynn at novella length, this is a fun stop.
