Ghost in the System Books in Order

When a mysterious System turns much of humanity into zombies, an introverted survivor hastily chooses the Ghost class. Its unusual abilities offer a chance to survive, though their questionable advantages complicate his attempts to navigate the apocalypse.

The zombie apocalypse has unexpectedly given Kasp a purpose and more human contact than he ever wanted. With the System presenting fresh challenges and a relentlessly talkative zombie head as an artifact, solitude becomes increasingly difficult to find.

The System appoints solitary Kasp as head of a settlement just as increasingly dangerous creatures threaten the survivors. New possibilities offer humanity hope, but accepting responsibility for other people clashes with everything its reluctant Ghost leader wants.

The System keeps introducing new opportunities alongside harsher challenges for the apocalypse's survivors. Burdened with leading a settlement, Kasp longs to use his Ghost abilities to escape routine responsibilities and pursue adventures that actually interest him.

Evolving monsters make individual strength insufficient to preserve humanity after the System's arrival. Settlements offer survivors a chance to rebuild together, but the unusual community Kasp has founded is developing into something far from an ordinary refuge.

Restored communication, teleportation, and a flying city give survivors the chance to fight the zombie infection worldwide. Kasp must consider whether protecting his home world requires abandoning the indifference that has guided his relationships with other people.

As the System reveals more about its purpose, Kasp faces questions about what its departure would mean. Removing the force that devastated humanity could also destroy opportunities to rebuild, leaving him to weigh freedom against an altered future.
