The Gentleman books take Louise Bay's usual billionaire polish and move it onto the water. The Ruthless Gentleman and The Wrong Gentleman are set around luxury superyachts, with the Wolf brothers at the center and a lot of tension created by the fact that nobody on a yacht ever really gets privacy.

That setting is the hook. A superyacht looks glamorous from the outside, and Bay absolutely uses that, sun, wealth, exclusive guests, expensive drinks, beautiful ports. But she is just as interested in the work behind the fantasy. Crew members are always performing competence. Owners and guests are used to being obeyed. Rules matter because if they slip, everything gets messy very fast.

In The Ruthless Gentleman, chief stewardess Avery Walker is the kind of woman who follows the rules because she has to, until Hayden Wolf boards and makes the line between professionalism and desire impossible to ignore. The Wrong Gentleman shifts to Landon Wolf, whose undercover work turns far more complicated when the woman from a one-night stand reappears as part of the crew.

These books feel slightly sharper than Bay's office romances. There is more secrecy, more risk, and more of that closed-environment pressure where every glance matters. The romance is still the point, but the stakes get a boost from security work, hidden motives, and the fact that nobody can simply walk away and cool off.

Both novels stand on their own, though they read well together because the family links add texture. If you want Bay with a little more danger, a lot of Mediterranean atmosphere, and heroes who discover they are not nearly as composed as they imagined, this is the series for you.
