Series background & context

FourWinds is a paranormal why choose series with a bigger, more apocalyptic feel than some of Serena Akeroyd's other fantasy worlds. The setup brings together vampires, demons, looming catastrophe, and a heroine whose life changes so fast she barely has time to understand what role she has been pushed into.

The opening book, Queen of the Vamps, makes the tone clear. Lyssa is pulled into a supernatural conflict she never asked for, told she is part of a bond she never imagined, and forced to survive among beings far older and more powerful than she is.

It escalates quickly.

This is the kind of series where the romance is tied directly to the world's survival. The relationship structure matters emotionally, but it also matters politically and magically. That gives the books a sense of momentum that feels different from a quieter urban fantasy.

If you like paranormal romance that throws its heroine straight into the deep end, with multiple supernatural love interests and a world that seems ready to crack open, FourWinds will likely hit the right note.
