Forbidden Love Books in Order

The Forbidden Love series picks up the Edwards story in the next generation, focusing on Lex and Charlotte’s daughters as they try, and fail, to avoid the same kind of messy, off-limits love that shaped their parents. Each book works as a standalone romance but gains extra depth if you already know the Dark Love cast.

The first two novels follow Amelia Edwards. In The Trouble With Love, she is away at Yale, finally out from under her father’s shadow, when she reconnects with Will Romano. The series closes with The Trouble With Fate, which centers on the youngest Edwards daughter. She prides herself on being the calm, drama-free sibling, grounded by her friendship with wild, loyal Cruz Cooper. Dinner with his family brings his older brother Masen back into her orbit, and a childhood teasing dynamic twists into a love triangle that forces her to choose between two brothers.

Forbidden Love keeps the high emotional stakes of Dark Love but filters them through adult children who grew up watching their parents’ mistakes.
