Flawed Fates sits on the darker, more suspenseful side of Sedona Ashe's catalog. If you want Sedona Ashe with a more protective hero, more gothic pressure, and fewer jokes breaking the tension, Flawed Fates is a strong place to go. It is still emotional and romantic, but the atmosphere is sharper and the stakes are more intimate. Read the books in order, because the second one builds directly on the first and pays off the danger, devotion, and hidden-power thread together.
