Series background & context
Filthy Wicked Psychos wastes no time getting dark. In Twisted Game, a heroine with no real safety net makes a desperate choice for money and ends up witnessing a killing instead. The men who save her from one monster are the Voronin brothers, Malice, Victor, and Ransom, and being noticed by them turns out to be dangerous in its own way.
That is not a rescue. It is an abduction with chemistry.
The series lives in that tension. The brothers are obsessive, violent, and determined to keep her close, partly to protect their secrets and partly because they cannot seem to stay away from her. She has her own scars, her own pride, and very good reasons not to trust men who solve problems with bloodshed. That push and pull gives the romance its shape.
Across Beautiful Devils, Corrupt Vow, and Savage Hearts, the stakes keep rising as betrayal, outside enemies, and old trauma close in. What first looks like a dark obsession story opens into something larger, involving family damage, criminal threats, and the hard work of deciding whether love is worth being vulnerable for. The brothers are not softened into easy heroes, but the books do let them become more than the monsters they first appear to be.
Everything feels intimate and unstable at the same time.
If you want one of Ashwood's most obsessive and high-heat series, this is the one. It is dark contemporary romance all the way through, with stalking, protection, captivity vibes, and a central relationship built on danger before it ever gets close to trust. Messy readers will probably feel very at home.
