Fear Itself Books in Order

Gischler's Fear Itself work is a short, brutal superhero horror setup, which is exactly what you want when the matchup is Hulk and Dracula.

The premise is wonderfully blunt. In the middle of Marvel's larger Fear Itself event, the hammer-powered Hulk crashes into the Carpathians, and Dracula decides this is very much his problem. That puts vampire armies, monstrous strength, and apocalyptic collateral damage on the same page almost immediately.

Because the series is compact, it does not waste time on slow build. The appeal is the collision itself. Can Dracula turn raw nightmare force into a weapon, or at least point it away from himself. Can anybody control what the Hulk has become. Probably not.

That gives the book a very different feel from Gischler's broader team titles. It is less about banter and more about impact, dread, and the fun of watching two gigantic horror figures wreck each other's plans.

Short, nasty, and very easy to pitch, this one knows exactly what it is.
