Fallout of War Books in Order

Naval officer James Fairbanks arrives in Kyiv as a military attaché in late 2021, accompanied by his analyst wife, Lucy. Rising tensions with Russia draw them into Ukraine’s political and military struggle as their diplomatic assignment becomes increasingly dangerous.

As Ukraine’s war becomes a struggle of attrition, James Fairbanks’s drone operations clash with Washington’s expectations. Lucy coordinates Western aid while taking responsibility for an orphaned child, and an intelligence betrayal adds further strain to their marriage.

In the war’s third year, James Fairbanks coordinates drone operations with a small Ukrainian team working between established military structures. Repeated exposure to danger binds the group together as shared purpose becomes essential to their survival.
