Entwined Tales Books in Order

Entwined Tales is a shared fairy tale world rather than a solo Melanie Cellier series, but her book fits neatly into its larger setup. The central idea is simple and very fun. A kind woodcutter's family is rewarded with a fairy godfather named Mortimer, and that reward turns out to be far less helpful than it sounds. Mortimer is magical, meddlesome, and not nearly as wise as he thinks he is.

She feels overlooked.

When her twin sister disappears, Penny is forced into action and ends up navigating a rogue fairy, a tower without doors, a prince, and the highly inconvenient princess of the title. The Rapunzel influence is there, but the heart of the story is Penny learning that being ordinary may not be the weakness she feared. That emotional thread also matches the wider Entwined Tales world, which tends to balance humor and whimsy with characters who have to grow into themselves.

So what should you expect from this series overall? A lighter, more openly playful flavor than some of Cellier's kingdom books, but still with romance, danger, and strong emotional payoffs. If you are reading specifically for Cellier, An Inconvenient Princess can stand on its own. If you want the full experience, though, it works best as part of the larger family saga, where Mortimer's chaotic help keeps making everybody's life much more interesting.
