Elemental Academy Books in Order

An attack on the Academy sends Tolan toward the waste, where elemental shaping fails and elementals cannot survive. His unusual abilities may offer the only response to the growing chaos, but crossing this hostile territory presents its own dangers.

Tolan has passed his first Academy test using borrowed power, but must learn to shape independently or face expulsion. Further attacks on Terndahl complicate his training and make him fear that his reliance on bondars may be releasing elementals.

Now a master shaper, Tolan wants to investigate beyond the waste while the Academy studies nearby power. His mother's unknown intentions and a discovery made with the Draasin Lord force him to weigh further exploration against Terndahl's fragile peace.

Carpenter's apprentice Tolan enters an academy for elemental shapers despite having no magic of his own. As rogue elementals attack, he must find a way to remain among his gifted classmates and uncover the danger threatening their school.

Tolan investigates a plot against the Academy and Terndahl involving power its shapers have never encountered. His connection to the elementals may help, but understanding the threat requires confronting his origins and why his parents left him behind.

Tolan can finally shape the element bonds, yet suspects his magic works differently from his classmates'. Investigating its connection to the elementals draws him into a plot against the Academy, where visiting Inquisitors make asking questions increasingly dangerous.

Tolan faces an offer to leave the Academy and learn from the Draasin Lord, while the Grand Master requests a dangerous favor. Conflicting loyalties force him to reconsider his teachers' explanations and decide how to confront the Inquisitors' plot.
