Series background & context
Earth Sorcerer follows Tony Walker, who begins Redemption as an earth sorcerer on the run. That gives the series its tone right away. Tony is powerful, but he is not in control of his life, and the early tension comes from trying to stay alive long enough to build something better.
The later books keep that grounded feeling. In Spirit Crucible, Tony is trying to set down roots, which sounds simple until you remember that people with enemies rarely get quiet lives. Exposure Risk pushes on the same fault line. If Tony creates a home, can he keep it safe, and how long can a magical life stay hidden before everything spills out into the open. The series stays close to those questions.
This is urban fantasy with a practical streak. There is action and sorcery, but there is also a strong focus on what it means to stop running and try to make an actual life.
