The Darkwater Cove series centers on Darcy Gellar, a former FBI profiler and widowed mother who is trying to put violence behind her. After surviving a serial killer and watching her life get swallowed by fear, she moves her family to the coastal town of Genoa Cove, also known as Darkwater Cove, hoping a quieter place will help them start over.
Instead, the ocean brings the past right back. A body turns up, and the evidence points toward the very killer Darcy believed was already locked away. The town’s residents are suspicious, the local investigation is messy, and Darcy quickly learns that hiding from trauma does not make it disappear.
The past doesn’t stay in prison.
Across the books, Darcy keeps getting pulled into cases that hit too close, missing girls, killers who study her, and crimes that seem designed to punish her for what she knows. She is profiling while parenting, trying to keep two kids safe while her own instincts tell her danger is everywhere.
Family is the stake in every case.
