Series background & context

Cyborg Genesis is Lauren Smith's science fiction romance space. The books imagine a damaged future shaped by war, control, and the question of who gets to remain free. Space stations, lost Earth history, and uneasy alliances give the series its backdrop.

Even with that larger setup, the emotional hook is still personal. Smith likes putting one wary human woman and one very dangerous not entirely human man into close quarters and letting mistrust slowly turn into something harder to resist.

If you want her paranormal instincts translated into a more futuristic key, this is the series to try.
