Series background & context
This is one of Ree's most clearly friend-group-centered series. The heroines are tied together through Curvy Cuties magazine, and that gives the books an easy, modern rom-com structure, shared work, shared gossip, and women cheering each other on while very determined men crash into their lives. It is lighter than some of Ree's more possessive-male labels, but the emotional payoff is still fast and direct.
