Crazy Like A Fox Books in Order

Crazy Like A Fox spins out of Sam Hall's bear-shifter world and immediately feels a little lighter on its feet. The setup uses familiar Hall ingredients, an ordinary woman pulled into paranormal chaos, a holiday visit that refuses to stay simple, and a group of men who are a lot more interested than she is prepared for, but the mood has a more playful edge.

Holly is the key to that tone.

In All Foxed Up, she heads into an Australian summer Christmas already surrounded by somebody else's happy ending, then literally collides with three fox shifters. That makes the series feel less like an origin story for the whole world and more like a sly side-step into a new corner of it. The bear world is nearby, but the energy shifts. Foxes suggest mischief, quickness, and trouble, and the romance follows suit.

So this is a good series to approach as a connected spin-off rather than a giant mythology project. The appeal is in the chemistry, the holiday looseness, and the sense that a woman who never expected to be the main event has suddenly become exactly that. If you want Sam Hall in a more playful shifter mode, with summer heat and fox trouble instead of heavier pack politics, this is the spot.
