Series background & context

Christmas Wallflowers is built for readers who want Regency holiday romance with a little extra sharpness. The women at the center are often overlooked, underestimated, or written off as too plain, too practical, or too troublesome. Smith flips that around and makes those qualities the reason the stories work.

Snow, house parties, winter arguments, and forced closeness do a lot of the heavy lifting here. So do proud heroes who think they understand the situation until one determined woman proves otherwise.

The mood is festive, but not sugary. There is still class pressure, money trouble, and the possibility of reputations going badly wrong. That gives the Christmas sparkle something solid to push against.
