Series background & context

Castle Glower is the setting and the secret engine of this family fantasy series. It is a royal castle that rebuilds itself, choosing to add rooms, towers, and hallways whenever it pleases. The people who live there cannot control it, but the Castle clearly has opinions. It protects the royal family, hides important things, and occasionally creates just the escape route its friends need.

Princess Celie is the person most attuned to its odd habits. She keeps an atlas of its changing layout and spends more time exploring than attending to formal royal expectations. That makes her an unlikely but very useful hero. When trouble arrives, Celie's knowledge of the Castle gives her and her siblings a chance to stay one step ahead.

Tuesdays at the Castle is the right introduction. The king and queen are attacked while away from home, leaving Celie, Rolf, Lilah, and Bran to deal with dangerous visitors inside their own walls. Their home becomes both fortress and puzzle. Celie has to decide which doors to trust, whom to believe, and how much the Castle may be trying to help.

The Castle never runs out of surprises.

In Wednesdays in the Tower, a newly formed tower holds an enormous egg, giving Celie a secret that becomes harder to manage by the day. Thursdays with the Crown expands the world beyond the familiar kingdom and reveals more about the Castle's origins. Celie, her siblings, their friends, and a young griffin find themselves far from home, trying to understand whether the damaged Castle can be restored.

The final two books keep the balance between cozy castle life and serious stakes. Fridays with the Wizards follows the search for an ancient wizard who has escaped into the Castle's hidden spaces. In Saturdays at Sea, Celie and her family travel on a magical ship made from the Castle itself, learning that its power does not end at the shoreline.

The stories are built around adventure, but the family matters just as much. The Glower siblings argue, tease, make mistakes, and back one another when it counts. Celie grows from a child who loves mapping secret rooms into someone who can take responsibility when magic, politics, and danger collide.

Expect magical creatures, palace intrigue, secret passages, and a sense that the house itself is part of the family. Read the books in order, beginning with Tuesdays at the Castle, so the Castle's mysteries and Celie's changing role unfold naturally.
