Series background & context

Canis Royal belongs to Davidson's wolf-heavy side, but with a looser, more collection-like feel than her main Wyndham line. This is the corner for readers who want more werewolf energy, more pack instinct, and more stories that circle the funny, sexy, and sometimes unruly side of shapeshifter romance.

Wolves do not do subtle very well.

The books and stories associated with this shelf tend to emphasize pack behavior, mate tension, and the small social wars that break out whenever strong personalities are forced together. Davidson likes using werewolves because they are emotional creatures by default. They want, defend, react, and overreact, which gives her plenty to work with.

As with several smaller Davidson groupings, this page is best read as a guide to a flavor rather than a single locked-in narrative. Some entries are collections, some are shorter works, and some connect out to her other wolf stories. What matters is the shared mood.

If you are here for claws, comic chaos, and romance that arrives with growling, Canis Royal is speaking your language.
