Series background & context
Cajun Devils MC brings Danann’s contemporary motorcycle-club romance into Louisiana’s Lafayette and Acadia parishes. The books focus on loyalty, family history, club business, and the danger that comes when rival groups decide to use loved ones as leverage.
The first novel, Batiste, follows Just Batiste, president of the Cajun Devils. He is used to carrying responsibility for his club and its future, especially as it works with allied riders to build legitimate businesses. Then Angelique Bellefeuille, a childhood friend he never truly forgot, needs protection from a rival club.
Angelique knows the motorcycle-club world well enough to want distance from it. Being sent to Batiste’s compound for safety is not the fresh start she had in mind. Their reunion brings back old feelings, but the danger around her makes a simple second chance impossible.
The bayou setting gives the series its own flavor.
These are not stories about glamourizing a risk-free biker life. The club offers protection and brotherhood, but it also lives with rivalries, criminal threats, and hard decisions. The romance comes from characters trying to hold on to one another while that pressure closes in.
Cajun Devils MC is linked to the Sons of Sanctuary MC books, so longtime readers may recognize people and connections. But Batiste establishes its own club, its own corner of Louisiana, and its own central relationship. Start there for a darker, emotional contemporary romance with a strong sense of place.
