Series background & context

Nicole Flockton's Bound books sit in a polished world of wealth, travel, private deals, and emotionally complicated people. The surface is sleek, but the real draw is the way each story traps two people in a situation where desire, pride, and old hurt all show up at once.

The series opens with Bound By Her Ring, where Luc and Jasmine are already married, already hurt, and already in trouble before the story really gets going. From there the focus widens to people in their orbit, men who are used to control, privacy, and getting their own way until love starts pushing back.

Second chances run through the trilogy. So do business pressure, family expectations, and the kind of attraction that makes sensible choices feel nearly impossible. Even when the settings are glamorous, the emotional mess is what drives the books.

It is a short series, and it works best in order. If you like contemporary romance with powerful heroes, guarded heroines, and a good amount of angst before the happy ending, Bound is an easy place to start with Flockton's earlier work.
