Black Addiction Books in Order

The Black Addiction series sits in Gephart's rock-star corner, but it feels a little rougher around the edges than a pure fantasy version of fame. These books follow members of the band Black Addiction as music, ambition, and messy personal lives keep crashing together.

Slide starts with Rusty Crawford, the band's lead guitarist, and Alison Williams, whose carefully mapped life has just fallen apart. Sticks shifts to drummer Joey Shaw and tough-talking guitarist Kenzie Clark, where a reckless night turns into an unexpected pregnancy. Stand closes with bassist Max Reynolds and Beth Hart, whose old relationship gets a second chance years after she walked away.

What links the series is not just the band, but the sense that everyone is still paying dues, even after success starts showing up. These are people from the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, and the city background matters. The books feel grounded in apartments, bars, rehearsal spaces, neighborhood ties, and the kind of friendships that can be both loyal and loud.
