Beast Quest: The World of Chaos Books in Order

Velmal holds Tom's mother captive as her life slips away. Tom still needs four ingredients for a saving potion, but Fang blocks his search, forcing him into another battle while time is running out.

Tom must find six potion ingredients to rescue his mother from Velmal, each guarded by a Beast of Kayonia. He and his companions begin by crossing the Dead Desert to face the fearsome Komodo.

Velmal's influence leaves Kayonia decaying and devastated as Tom continues his quest. Murk is not the only threat waiting for him: an assassin is also hunting the young hero, turning his next battle into a struggle on two fronts.

Tom searches for the second ingredient needed to free his mother from Velmal's sorcery. Muro stands in his way, commanding Kayonia's vermin and forcing Tom to battle an enemy with an army at its disposal.
