The Bad Wolf Chronicles is a three-book horror trilogy that mixes a hard-edged police investigation with werewolf mythology. Pale Wolf follows Gallagher as he searches for the missing Lara, while Lara is isolated in the Oregon wilderness and struggling with what has happened to her. By Last Wolf, Lara is a fugitive trying to build a new life in New Mexico, but the attacks have not stopped. Lara and Amy are drawn toward a remote forest community whose hidden history may explain the curse that has wrecked both their lives. The final book brings the trilogy back to its central question, whether people can survive becoming tangled up in something ancient and violent.

These books are best read in order: Bad Wolf, Pale Wolf, then Last Wolf. The cases and locations change, but the emotional fallout carries forward. Lara, Gallagher, and Amy all have reasons to keep moving, hiding, or fighting, and their choices shape the larger story as much as the creatures hunting them.

Expect a fast-moving blend of detective fiction and supernatural horror. The series has bloody crime scenes and real danger, but its main pull is the people at the center of it: cops trying to do their jobs after the world has stopped making sense, a family under strain, and a survivor forced to decide what she is willing to become.
