Annwyn Books in Order

Annwyn is the fae side of Shona Husk's fantasy romance world, and it is not a gentle one. This is a court of power, bargains, exiles, and old magic, where what happens in the fairy realm spills into the human world in very real ways.

The series begins with changelings, princes, hunters, and mortals who get dragged into court politics whether they want to or not. People cross between worlds through hidden objects and dangerous openings, and once that door is open, ordinary life does not stay ordinary for long. A haunted house, a hunted family, an exiled fairy, or an old love can all become part of something much bigger.

At the heart of the series is the idea that Annwyn is not just another fantasy kingdom. It is tied to death, the seasons, and the balance of magic itself. When the ruler is failing, the realm changes. When the court turns cruel, the fallout reaches beyond its borders. That gives the books an ongoing tension that links the romances together. Each couple gets their own story, but the world around them is shifting the whole time.

The early books, like The Outcast Prince, Lord of the Hunt, and To Love a King, lean into court intrigue, family duty, and the pull between human feeling and fae expectation. Later stories widen the frame and show what happens after major changes in Annwyn, especially for those left dealing with banishment, damaged magic, and the mess left behind in the mortal world.

So while these are romance novels, they are also very much about consequences. Love matters here, but so do loyalty, inheritance, power, and survival. Husk keeps the emotional stakes front and center, which makes the world-building feel inviting rather than overwhelming.

If you like fae stories with real danger in them, this is a good series to settle into. It has court politics, magical fallout, and standalone couples, but the larger arc rewards reading in order.
