My Angel Is My Devil

Lilith Tien wants a decent sex life and a little peace, but her literal angel and devil will not stop commenting. That makes every romantic choice much louder than it needs to be.

Series background & context

Angels/Devils is one of the smaller, more playful corners of Davidson's paranormal work. Instead of building a huge series mythology, it uses a very direct setup, what if the forces nudging your love life were not metaphorical at all, but literal beings with opinions, agendas, and terrible timing?

That can get noisy fast.

The tone here is comic and intimate. Rather than epic heavenly warfare, the focus is on desire, decision-making, and the way supernatural interference can make an already messy romantic situation even messier. Davidson is especially good with this kind of premise because she likes characters who argue with the impossible instead of standing around in awe of it.

If you enjoy her shorter paranormal work, this line makes sense as a quick detour. It delivers the same fast pace and cheeky attitude as her larger series, just on a smaller scale. The stakes are more personal than world-ending, and that usually suits her humor well.

Think less apocalypse, more bedroom farce with celestial and infernal commentary.
