Amish Pie Books in Order

Amish Pie is a smaller corner of Kelly Long's work, and at the moment it centers on one book, The Blueberry Bride. That makes this series feel less like a long family saga and more like a close look at one courtship, one household, and one young woman trying to believe she is worthy of being chosen.

The story focuses on Letty Mast, who lives in the shadow of her beautiful stepsister Rose. Letty is kindhearted and easy to overlook, the sort of young woman people may underestimate even when she is standing right in front of them. After a wedding and a moment involving blueberry pie, Matt Miller starts showing up at the Mast home, and everyone assumes his interest must be aimed at Rose.

Letty is not so sure.

That uncertainty gives the book its real pull. This is not a story about huge danger or a sprawling community conflict. It is about self-doubt, mixed signals, family comparison, and the small social rituals that can feel enormous when a future marriage may be at stake. Long uses the wedding setting, berrying, food, and family visits to build a story that is very domestic on the surface but still sharp about how easily a quiet person can be misunderstood.

The tone is gentle, romantic, and community-minded. If you like Amish fiction that leans into courtship, household dynamics, and the question of whether the right person truly sees the heroine, Amish Pie fits nicely. Even as a brief series, it carries several of Long's usual interests, faith, ordinary work, and love that grows not from spectacle but from attention, patience, and the courage to step out from somebody else's shadow.
