Series background & context
The Alien Auction House series starts with a grim premise and turns it into a set of alien romances built around escape, trust, and choices. Human women are taken from Earth and caught in an alien system that treats them as property. Each book follows a different couple as they push back against that system.
The first story, Sold To The Alien King, introduces Betty, an astronomy student who is pulled into the orbit of Barsork, an alien shifter king. He is tied to the people behind the abductions, but he is also trying to keep Betty out of the auction house and away from his brother's control. Their connection has to grow in the shadow of that betrayal.
The next books stay close to the same world. In Bought By The Alien Prince, Ella is abducted and sold to Zarbonov, a prince under pressure to find a mate. Owned By The Alien Prince follows Lucy and Prince Harkzak, whose encounter at the auction forces both of them to confront what the system has done to the women it captures.
Nobody gets an easy beginning here.
The tension comes from the gap between the heroines' need for freedom and the heroes' place within powerful alien families. The men may have rank, wealth, or royal duties, but that does not automatically make them trustworthy. The women have to decide what they want for themselves, and the heroes have to prove that protection is not the same as control.
These are science-fiction romances with one main couple per book. The shared setting and the auction-house threat connect the stories, while each romance has its own conflict and resolution. Expect alien politics, rescue-minded heroes, human women who refuse to be treated as possessions, and high-stakes relationship building.
Start with Sold To The Alien King for the clearest introduction to the setting. The books work as individual romances, but reading in order makes the recurring world and its power struggles easier to follow.
