Above the Drowning Light Books in Order

A veteran firefighter dies and is reborn as Mars Mihael, a nobleman’s son without combat training. Entering a brutal Lamplighter Academy, he must learn to defend a world threatened by monsters and an encroaching white mist.

After a devastating Wave nearly destroys Tahama, Mars joins a small patrol descending into the Pale to investigate. Among the buried remains of the old world, the crew discovers signs that its monsters are being organized.

Mars learns that the Pale threatening the remaining mountain cities was deliberately created. With conventional defenses proving inadequate, he leads his crew on another descent, seeking the source of the mist before it consumes their home.
