Series background & context
A Town Named Eden is Sonia Parin's contemporary small-town romance series, set in Eden, Australia, a country town in Victoria's alpine and cattle-country region. Eden is close enough to the city for characters to arrive with other plans, but small enough that everyone notices when they do.
The town has a pub, a café, family history, local events, and an endless supply of news that travels faster than anyone intends.
Each book follows a different couple as work, family expectations, old hurts, and unexpected attraction complicate their lives. The first novel, Her Charming Heartbreaker, introduces Theo Kendrick, who comes from Los Angeles looking for his father's old flame, and Edwina Faydon, co-owner of Eden's only pub. Their lives collide in a town where privacy is hard to find and advice is easy to give.
Later books stay connected through returning characters and relationships. Brothers, friends, half-sisters, business owners, and longtime residents all have reasons to stay in Eden or reasons to leave it behind. The ongoing setting lets readers see the town from several angles, from a family café to a pub to properties that carry old rivalries.
Romance is the main engine, but comedy is never far away. Parin's Eden stories make room for wayward animals, bad timing, stubborn people, family interference, and conversations that do not go as planned. The characters have genuine problems to work through, yet the tone remains warm and upbeat.
Eden itself is the connecting thread. It is a place where people can reinvent themselves, reconnect with family, or discover that the life they thought they wanted does not quite fit. The community can be nosy, but it is also loyal when it matters.
Start with Her Charming Heartbreaker to meet the Faydon family and get a feel for the town. The romances have their own central couples and can stand alone, though reading in order gives the best view of Eden's changing friendships, families, and happy complications.
