Series background & context

This is the dark side of Trilina Pucci's catalog, the place where power, obsession, loyalty, and sex all share the same room. The books grouped on this page pull together her mafia romances, starting with the King family stories and moving outward into later books that keep the same appetite for danger, revenge, and emotional chaos.

The earliest core of the world is built around Truth, Worship, and Depraved. Those books introduce readers to men shaped by crime, family rules, and the belief that control is everything, right up until a woman they cannot ignore makes that belief impossible to maintain. Dominic and Drew bring the instant, combustible version of that setup in Truth. Worship turns more forbidden and tense with Luca and Gretchen. Depraved pushes deeper into the darker corners of the world through Dante Sovrano and Sarah London.

These romances are connected, but they are not all copies of one another. One book may lean harder into obsession. Another may build its tension through taboo, secrecy, or the cost of family loyalty. Later entries like Ruthless and Bound keep the same appetite for high stakes while shifting the focus toward revenge, forced ties, and the kind of hard bargains that make love feel like another weapon in the room.

Power is basically a love language here.

That does not mean the heroines disappear under it. One of the things Pucci consistently does well in this lane is give her women enough spine to push back. Drew walks away when she is told not to. Gretchen refuses to be impressed just because Luca is dangerous. Sarah has secrets of her own. Giabella in Ruthless is not interested in going quietly anywhere. The heroes may be possessive, but the friction works because the women do not simply fold.

The tone is dark, fast, and very direct. These are not slow-burn crime epics that spend hundreds of pages on mafia procedure. They are romance-forward books where the criminal world tightens the pressure around the couple. Clubs, family businesses, old debts, kidnappings, power grabs, and private rules all help shape the conflict, but the emotional center is always the same: dangerous people trying to love without giving up the parts of themselves built for survival.

Read them in order if you can. The recurring faces, family ties, and escalating tensions land better that way.

If you want Pucci at her most intense, this is the shelf to pull from. The books are steamy, dramatic, and full of people who would absolutely make terrible life choices in the name of desire. On the page, that tends to work out pretty well.
